Tekmodo Introduces Cargo Bright™ Name for Proven Translucent Roofs

Cargo trailer interior lit by daylight through a Cargo Bright translucent composite roof

Flexible and rigid composite options bring natural light into semi-trailers, truck bodies and cargo trailers

THREE RIVERS, Mich., September 24, 2026 — Tekmodo has introduced Cargo Bright™, a new name for the translucent roof coils and panels it has supplied to transportation manufacturers for years. The Cargo Bright family gives OEMs flexible and rigid options for bringing natural light into cargo areas.

Cargo Bright is designed to diffuse daylight across the cargo area while performing as a working vehicle roof. Its reinforced composite construction is designed for impact, abrasion, moisture exposure and UV exposure in transportation applications.

“A translucent roof has to do more than let light in. It has to fit the vehicle, withstand daily abuse and work on the production line,” said Tom Rodak, Tekmodo’s vice president of marketing, who has spent 20 years in the transportation equipment industry. “We’ve manufactured these roofs for years. Cargo Bright makes it easier for manufacturers to find the right option for their equipment.”

Tekmodo works with manufacturers to select a roof construction based on vehicle structure, bonding system and daylighting requirements. Available formats and reinforcement options support applications ranging from large semi-trailer interiors to delivery truck bodies and specialty cargo trailers. Published performance data and samples are available for OEM evaluation; specifications should be confirmed for the selected construction.

Cargo Bright is part of Tekmodo’s broader transportation offering, which also includes steel composite sidewall and door panels for trailers and truck bodies, plus aluminum composite material for cargo trailer sidewalls.
